BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER!!!!!

Just when you thought it would never happen. Your in your dorm, with all of your roommates and you start to notice your once blissful stash of toilet IS GONE. Your start to panic and wonder how could this be, you just bought a 12 pack last week. Running out of household hold items can lead to a world of problems, but don't go coo coo for cocoa puffs yet.

This is now my time to really sit back and try to figure out some kind of explanation as to why this is happening. I still talk to my roommates as if everything is normal while still watching them. I then start to notice that only me and my roommate I share a room with seem to be the only ones that are buying things for the house and we are sick of it. So I just happen to have some left over rolls of toilet paper my other two roommates could use until "they" ran out.

This were so bad that we would go through a roll a day. But as I continued to watch I started to notice that one particular roommate would go the bathroom at least 5-6 times out of the day when me and my other roommates would only go 2-3 times a day. Just when I thought me and my roommate was the only ones buying toilet paper, a pack of rolls magically appeared we were good for about two days, then once again it was gone.

So me and my roommate would continue to buy toilet paper and paper towels but it is now locked away safely in our room. Me and my roommate have came to the conclusion that we have had enough and we will not allow this to continue any longer. There is now an official war on toilet paper.

Other than a couple minor spellings here and there makin it a tad bit confusing, I liked this. Funny stuff. As a fellow dormie, I can relate to you in similar ways. The thing that sucks the most is that the material things that tend to get used up the most are the little things!

I know! I hate that! Me and my roommate had a party friday night and when the night started there were a total of 6 rolls, three for each bathroom. The next morning I got to use and and there wasnt any left in the upstairs bathroom or where we keep extra so i had to run to the downstairs and found out that there was only half a roll left and looked where the extras are at and there wasnt any there. so from now on its going to be BYOB and BYOTP lol

story of my life.. basically half of the year I have spent on cleaning up the kitchen and it wass pissing me off as well. I mean really crush your boxes and then throw themm away instead of make us take out trash every 3 hours. I basically started a kitchen war for the past 3 months

I dont have this problem because I live at home still, but I can sort of relate. If I were living in a dorm I would keep everything locked up. It will always cut you down financially if people bum stuff off of you all the time. Unless everyone contributes to helping out with buying things, I would keep things I buy to myself.

Tinkerbell--

Ah, there's the story. It's fine to let drama unfold over several blogs; however, I would offer at least one story in the first installment of the TP chronicles too.

It looks like this story has hit a, ahem, tender area for many of your classmates. The TP battle doesn't end with marriage. Have you guys ever had arguments of whether to hang it so it drapes over or under the roller? We have. Or, to be exact, I have, as I have argued for reasons that I will quasi-creatively say has to do with the torque on the tube. My wife usually rolls her eyes and asks, "Why does it matter?"

I'm confused by "my roommate I share a room with." That seems awfully redundant. Are the dorm rooms suites with common bathrooms? If so, then you probably have one roommate and two more suite-mates.

I echo Shooter's sentiments; make sure to proofread! Yeah, and get these pictures into the blog itself. You want your links to go to sites, articles, maybe videos.

Perhaps your roomate is a diabetic? Otherwise, coffee drinkers can use cofee filters in a pinch. Welcome to the poverty of college.

I know how you feel about the toilet paper situation. I live in an apartment with four people and we also somehow go through a roll of toilet paper a day. I still have a hard time wrapping my head around why we go through so much toilet paper, because when i still lived with my parents in a household of five we never went through that much toilet paper. Also i was the only one that seemed to be buying any..so i decided to stop puttin the toilet paper in the bathroom but keeping it locked up in my room. Now others in the apartment are buying toilet paper and amazingly we aren't going through as much.
